I highly, highly recommend Mandarin classes at CoffeeTeaMandarin Language Center. I found the teachers to be incredibly well prepared, fun, and through. And because it’s a small school, they are very flexible in terms of scheduling. I was only in Shanghai for a short time on business, but I was able to arrange just a few classes of one-on-one training. Many schools seemed to want to sign you up for a block of 10, which didn’t fit with my schedule. Another nice perk is that the classes are quite affordable. My company isn’t paying for the classes, so I wanted to keep costs within my budget. I found CoffeeTeaMandarin to be much more affordable than the larger schools. .
Ian 2.And the Sunday night salsa is free! The head teacher, Lin, is an avid dancer and arranges fun excursions out for free salsa dancing. If you’re looking for a fun, professional and personalized Mandarin school, you simply cannot go wrong with CoffeeTeaMandarin. ---Ian .
Teresa. .The style of teaching at Coffee,Tea&Mandarin is fun & very instructive. It is easy to learn a lot of useful vocabulary in a short time. Their activities such as cooking also help in understanding local culture. Teachers are very enthusiastic about food. I was also lucky to have a great teacher in Mandarin. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all. See you soon! ---Teresa. .
I am a retired professor from the United States and have been going to Shanghai every year for the past few years, usually staying for about a month. When I am there I always want to make best use of my time by taking classes to improve my knowledge of Chinese society as well as the Chinese language. Before my last trip, I searched the web and came across CoffeeTeaMandarin Language School. I was initially attracted by the novelty of its name, but upon arriving in Shanghai, I knew that I had found the right school. My teacher was Lin and she made learning both personal and interesting. .
Larry2.I took class everyday from Monday to Saturday and she never failed to come up with an interesting story about contemporary Chinese life that was both enlightening and helpful to improve my Mandarin. She was a resourceful and effective teacher. I also want to point out that the school was located in a very good neighborhood, next to a major subway station and bus stops, making it easily accessible from anywhere in Shanghai. After school, I often strolled along the bus and subway routes, taking in the vibrant street life that makes Shanghai such an enchanting metropolis. I definitely will come back to CoffeeTeaMadarin on my next trip. ---Larry.
